Terms of Service

By accessing this website or participating in wagers through the AimStakes Discord bot, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

These terms apply to all users of the platform including players, middlemen, and spectators.

Age. You must be at least 18 years old to participate in wagers involving real money. By wagering, you confirm you meet this requirement. Users under 18 may browse the site but may not place or accept wagers.

Discord membership. Participating in wagers requires membership in the AimStakes Discord server. Active server membership is required to use the bot and have your data tracked.

Jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring that peer-to-peer wagering is legal in your jurisdiction. AimStakes does not verify the legality of wager participation for users in every region. By wagering, you confirm it is lawful for you to do so.

The following are strictly prohibited. Violations may result in immediate blacklisting from the platform with no refund of pending wager amounts.

Staff decisions on conduct violations are final within the platform. We are not obligated to provide detailed reasoning for moderation actions, though we aim to be transparent when practical.

Peer-to-peer only. All wagers on AimStakes are direct agreements between two players. AimStakes does not hold, process, or guarantee any funds. We are not a financial institution, payment processor, or escrow service.

Tournaments. AimStakes hosts bracket-style team tournaments. Tournament results, placements, and participation are recorded publicly. If a tournament involves entry fees or prizes, those transactions are handled peer-to-peer between participants and staff under the same terms as wagers — AimStakes does not hold or process funds on your behalf. Disqualification decisions made by staff are final.

Middlemen. Certified middlemen are volunteers from the community who join your match as a neutral witness, watch the game, and confirm the result. They do not hold, collect, or transmit any wager funds — payment is still settled directly between the two players after the middleman confirms a winner. Middlemen are not AimStakes employees. AimStakes is not liable for errors made by middlemen acting in good faith.

Payment methods. Wagers and any tournament-related payments are settled via third-party services (Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, etc.). AimStakes does not control, endorse, or guarantee any payment service. You are responsible for any fees, chargebacks, or issues with those services.

Records. Once a wager result or tournament placement is recorded, it becomes part of the competitive record. Records are not edited except in cases of proven error verified by staff. You may delete your history by requesting data deletion from your profile page, which also removes your associated stats and account data.

In-platform disputes. If a wager outcome or tournament result is contested, a dispute ticket must be opened in the AimStakes Discord server. Staff will review available evidence (screenshots, match history, middleman testimony) and issue a ruling. Staff rulings are final within the platform.

Tournament disputes. Tournament-specific disputes (score reporting, disqualification, bracket errors) must be raised in the Discord server before the next round is played. Disputes raised after a bracket advances may not be eligible for review. Staff decisions on tournament outcomes are final.

Scope of platform authority. AimStakes can blacklist users, reverse recorded stats in verified cases of fraud, disqualify teams from tournaments, and remove users from the community. We cannot compel payment, issue refunds on your behalf, or take legal action against another user. Financial recovery outside the platform is solely your responsibility.

No legal arbitration. These terms do not constitute a binding arbitration agreement. AimStakes is a community platform, not a legal entity providing financial services. Any legal dispute between two users is between those users alone.

Good faith participation. By wagering, you agree to engage in disputes in good faith, provide honest evidence, and accept the outcome of staff review. Abusing the dispute system is a conduct violation.

AimStakes provides this platform as-is, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the platform will be available at all times, that records will be error-free, or that every dispute will be resolved in your favor.

AimStakes and its operators, staff, and volunteers are not liable for:

• Financial losses resulting from wagers, non-payment by another user, or failed payment transactions
• Losses caused by platform downtime, data errors, or bot malfunction
• Actions taken by middlemen, including errors made in good faith
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform
• Your violation of third-party service terms (Discord, Riot Games, payment apps)

Your maximum recourse against AimStakes for any claim is removal of your data from the platform upon request. We are a volunteer-run community, not a commercial entity.

AimStakes reserves the right to blacklist any user from the platform at any time, for any conduct violation listed in Section 03, or for conduct that staff determine is harmful to the community.

Blacklisted users cannot post wagers, accept wagers, or be verified for rank. Their record remains visible on the platform unless a data deletion request is made.

You may leave the platform voluntarily at any time by simply stopping use of the Discord bot. To delete your data, visit your profile page while logged in and use the "Delete my data" option at the bottom of the page. See our Privacy Policy for details.

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced in the Discord server. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

These Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and AimStakes regarding your use of the platform, and supersede any prior or contemporaneous communications, whether in Discord, on the site, or elsewhere.

Our failure to enforce any provision of these terms on any occasion does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision in the future or on any other occasion.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information.

Right to know. You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you. Your public profile page already shows this information in full.

Right to delete. You have the right to request deletion of your personal information. If you are logged in, you can delete your data directly from your profile page using the "Delete my data" option. Wager history records involving another user may also be removed as part of this process.

Right to opt out of sale. AimStakes does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes. There is nothing to opt out of.

Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

To exercise these rights, use the self-service option on your profile page or contact us through the AimStakes Discord server. We will respond to verified requests within 45 days.

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you additional rights regarding your personal data.

Lawful basis. We process your data based on legitimate interest (operating a community wager platform) and, where applicable, your consent (voluntary participation in wagers and rank verification).

Your rights under GDPR:

• Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data (subject to platform record integrity)
• Right to restriction — request that we limit how we use your data while a concern is being resolved
• Right to object — object to processing of your personal data

Data transfers. AimStakes is hosted on Railway infrastructure in the United States. If you are located in the EU/UK, your data is transferred to and processed in the US. By using the platform, you acknowledge this transfer.

To exercise any GDPR rights, use the self-service deletion option on your profile page (if logged in) or contact us through the AimStakes Discord server. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you believe your rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
